Some months ago, we changed our blogging policy following a number of commercial blogs that our members were uncomfortable with.
Our blogging policy is thus:
"the blogging area is reserved for personal blogs only"
Although an announcement was made at the time, there are those that still attempt to post commercially-based blogs. These blogs are removed as swiftly as possible, and the blogger informed that any professional articles will only be published in other areas of the site such as Wikizine.
It is clear that the Wikivorce members do not appreciate blogs by "professional" members being published in the blogs section of the site, have clearly expressed through their online comments that they made.
We have in the past had a relaxed policy whereby we did not stop professionals from blogging so long as the blog had some useful content and was not a blatant advert.
It seems clear from recent comments that even when the content of the blog itself is arguably of an informative nature - the fact that it could be interpreted as a form of advertorial is not well received by our members.
We highly value the views of Wikivorce members. After all the site is for the benefit of the members and for anyone going through this difficult process of divorce/separation.
We will always listen to your comments and are always looking for ways to improve Wikivorce for your benefit.
