Hi All,

Today I had received a call from Police Child Protection Team saying the allegations have been made against me by my 6 yr old daughter after the contact on last Saturday and they want to interview me tomorrow. I was shocked to hear that. This is another spiteful trick from my ex in order to stop the contact. I am wondering what will happen at the police station?

Bit of history of my case:

Supervised contact happened from 2007 until 2010 at contact center.

Ex made very nasty allegations against me in the past, court listed 2 days hearing for that (I spent more than £10,000 on legal fees for the hearing and ex was on benefits) and I won the hearing and court awarded unsupervised contact to me.

Unsupervised contact happening from mid 2010 until now.

Ex made few more nasty allegations against me during 2010 until now, but contact still happened.

Contact on saturday was great and very comfortable, I bought her b''day gift, took her to movie etc etc but out of blue moon this new allegation came into picture and now i am wondering what gonna happen at interview with CPT investigation tomorrow?

Many thanks
NM

My advice would be to remain calm. Take any evidence you have of prior claims/solicitors letters/communication/rulings etc etc and the protection team should soon see through your exes allegations.

Thanks Jslgb for your reply.

Yes I will take court judgement, CAFCASS report, toy receipt, pics etc. I don''t know what the allegation is and not sure would they treat me well? :(

Lady police officer from CPT did mention during the call that they are aware of history of my case and would like to interview me face to face.

I dont know how these cases are handled but everything you''ve said so far points to a fairly relaxed situation given the circumstances. The fact that they have mentioned that they know the history of your case speaks volumes, and they arent rushing out to arrest you which is a bonus!

Obviously its worry that you dont know what the accusation is. Has it come directly from your daughter or through the mother? Is your relationship with your daughter a good one? It sounds like it is so i wouldnt be too worried. I know thats easier said than done but by this time tomorrow you''ll probably have the situation sorted!

Lady police officer said that my daughter made the allegation and I don''t know whether ex was present there or not when my little one made the allegation. My relation with my daughter is fantastic, I have more than 10 pics of last saturday in which she is smiling and playing with me at home and outside too.
