I have my first hearing in just under a week.
I am self rep at this stage. I haven''t hadn''t contact in over two years, their mother stopped all access and communication due to her arrest over alleged fraud alleged by myself. She claims the children no longer wish to see me and has no doubt been brainwashing them.
Any advice on prep, how to approach the court, and what to expect please?

How old are your kids?

Have you attempted any indirect contact - birthday cards, letters etc.?

Do any of your friends or family have contact with the children?

Hi . Yes always send Xmas and birthday cards, offers to take them out to let them pick presents, letter sent to ex for contact over Xmas and birthday. Attend sons parents eve and school functions. Sportsday etc. Much more difficult with daughters school. Request school reports.
Saw my son last Dec at school fayre. He broke his heart.
Any ideas?

The age of your children matter, as sometimes the wishes and feelings of the child can be taken into consideration.

Are CAFCASS involved or will they be appointed at this hearing?

Hi, yes always send cards with a loving message.
Daughter is 14, son is 11 in a few weeks.
Saw my son last Xmas at his school fayre, he broke his heart. Spoke to him on my own for half hour. Said he misses me, when will he see me again etc. Teacher took him away when I left.
He said he hasn''t the guts to stand up to his mum:( .

Hi,

I would think that given the children''s ages, their wishes and feelings will hold a lot of weight.

Will your ex contest contact?
