The government's guidance document now gives 5 reasons you could leave your home during the lockdown:

1.) Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible.

2.) One form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household.

3.) Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person.

4.) Travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home.

5)Where applicable, this includes moving children under 18 between their parents’ home.

Parents CAN transport their children for contact. Take a copy of the court order with you if you have it just in case you get stopped.

Obviously, if someone in one household is showing one or more of the symptoms (continuous cough, high temp, etc) then do not take your child either from or to that house until after the isolation period has passed.

If physical contact is not to take place, then regular alternative indirect contact is to be encouraged, such as phone or video calls.

Existing court orders relating to children remain in place, they are not suspended, or revoked. If an order is breached, then the usual remedy of applying for enforcement of the order is available.

If anyone is experiencing difficulties with child arrangements then they are welcome to post on the forum, call the Wikivorce helpline on 01202 805020.
