We have also now noted (yes we are very slow and tired today!) that there isnt a statement at the bottom like usual where I think that the family practice Directions say that any witness statement should say " I believe the contents of this statement are true"

The statement goes straight from the main body to the signature??

I am not now convinced that this statements even admissable ?

Emma, I think it does sound a bit odd. Anything that comes via a Solicitor should be done properly, and certainly typed correctly (I used to work for Solicitors, many years ago now, and the work you produce as a secretary has to be spot on), but I guess you may not find out if it''s admissable until Court. That said, all the Position Statement''s my husband has done over the years have been constructed with the help of some very wise Wiki''s, typed by me and not signed by anyone, yet have been okay on the day.

It is a strange one though, because it has come from the Solicitor.

Thanks MissTish - he has drafted an email to her solicitor to ask why this one is different and we have dug out some things from Practice Directions in relation to witness statements, its just a little worrying that it looks so different and to be frank - unprofessional !
