Does anyone here have any experience of going to court for an enforcement order?

My husband split from his sons mother when the child was 6 months old (she was unfaithful) he had regular contact with no formal arrangement although has always been on her terms. I met my husband when his son was 3 he is now 12. The informal contact agreement had always worked and we had all gotten along well, working together to do what is best for the child.

About 2 and half years ago she seemed to change and get upset when he was spending anytime with us, she tried to keep the contact to a minimum but we resisted then the allegations of abuse came, social services and the police were involved and did their investigations all found to be untrue, the police said they thought it was a malicious attack on my husband but its not something that was ever pursued. She also claimed there was domestic violence when they were together (never had been mentioned before and I have never seen any violence towards me.)

The court order was made about 18 months ago CAFFCAS did there report and we got contact every other weekend, one evening a week and half of the holidays, which is what we had originally agreed before all of this anyway. The process to get the court order was long, expensive and emotionally draining for everyone.

Since Xmas contact has stopped altogether but no reasons given. My husbands ex has refused to speak to either of us for over a year, we have to write letters to her and often don't get a reply. When he does come to see us he is fine, he clearly enjoys his time with us and often asks to stay longer but then he is like a different child when he goes back to his mams house. We have decided to go back to court for an enforcement order, but I am struggling to find any info from anyone that has been down this route. We really don't want to do this but I feel the longer we leave it and hope that he'll change his mind the worse it will get. My husband is going to represent himself this time as we can't afford a solicitor it nearly bankrupted us last time!

If anyone has any experience or advice I'd be really grateful.
