Hello Everyone,

Currently paying child maintenance through CSA.

I travel a round trip of 250+ miles to see my daughter every fortnight.

I was informed by a 3rd party that I can contact CSA and ask them to deduct fuel money. Something about over 40 miles was mentioned. ( It was a very brief conversation)

My current contact arrangement to contact my daughter has been agreed through solicitors.

Is there anyway I can claim some fuel money back, as I am having to do all the travelling and the ex doesn''t have to?

Who can I contact and how can I go on about it?

thanks for reading and replies highly appreciated.

Please don''t mis-understand the above post. In addition to CSA, I spend a fortune buying toys, clothes etc for my daughter. Love her to bits.

Thanks for the post,

If your child maintenance is arranged via the CSA, then they can take into account reasonable travelling expenses. I’m sorry but we can''t look into individual cases here. If you would like to contact the CSA then I am sure they will be happy to look into your case. You can find contact details on any letter the CSA have sent to you. Or, you can find the right number here: www2.dwp.gov.uk/csa/v2/en/contact/index.asp

Thanks for the info. Child maintenance has been arranged via CSA. I will give them a call tomorrow.
