Hi all

I’ve spoken with CMS today and they’ve advised me I owe 1000 to them, I spoke to them before the Covid crisis and they said i had owed about 700 then and I disputed it but heard nothing.

I haven’t been in employment for more than a month since the payments stopped, they are saying they can see what I’ve been paid but if I’m in a job but Brexit happens and it falls through before I’m there a month how am I supposed to calculate what’s owed or why would I then owe money when I’m longer in that employment or receiving any income.

I suffered abuse from my ex and have PTSD from it, this isn’t helping, spent ages trying to get on my feet just to feel like that’s a long way off now.

What’s the case if I’ve been in employment for say two weeks and need to reclaim benefits and due a very small payment that won’t even last me until my first universal credit payment, if they calculate it by your earnings in order to leave you with enough to live on surely this can’t be the case
