For nearly 7 years now I have only ever received 5 a week child support, I have never appealed this nor made a fuss. Having said that things have got a real finacial struggle and my D has serious health issues and is under the Paediatrics. I received a letter from the csa stating my ex had to the same amount even though he was self employed as of May 2011, the inland revenue confirmed to the CSA his earning were £37.00 per week, this is ridiculous he earns over a grand a week? The CSA advised that I contact the inland revenue and explain how I know this. So I did and told them what I knew to be from my brother to whom knows my ex well.
In addition it turned out that ex has been twice caught for benefit fraud in the last 4 years by claiming and consistently working. Whats is wrong with people? all to avoid paying any child support, to be honest I gave up expecting any monies a long time ago and I probably will never see past £5 week, but still it does annoy me, that not even a xmas or b''day present either?
Does anyone know what these self assessments are and tax inspection entail?? I have never had to deal with this before?? many thanks
Self assessment is just the business of submitting your tax return, probably online, and working out how much tax you need to pay. A tax inspection is where HMRC comes and checks over your records and gives you the third degree!
