Was wondering if anyone could offer me some suggestions.

The ex last saw my daughter in December. It will be 17 weeks on Wednesday. We have arranged 4 visits since then (two in December, one in February and one in March) and he hasn''t seen her at all!
Since the last contact session was arranged, and he cancelled, he hasn''t bothered to reply to any text I have sent him with regards to contact or his daughter. It''s been almost a month since the last contact with him.

Do I give up, or keep trying? My daughter doesn''t even recognise him anymore! She sees pictures, and asks me who he is.

Four months is a long time for a 3 year old, and I don''t know whether it''s best to leave it with no contact, and if he does contact me again, say no. I don''t want to stop all contact, but seeing her once, then leaving it 4 months can''t be good for her! The previous contact was 16 weeks apart, so again 4 months apart. Since last April (so a year) he has seen her THREE times!

Since he began seeing her in 2009, his contact has been all over the place. 2009 he saw her 15 times. 2010 he saw her 17 times. 2011 he saw her 6 times. This year, he hasn''t seen her at all.

Any suggestions would be really really appriciated! Please advise me!

You have done what you can and should be applauded.

I would say, for your own peace of mind, try once more but put in the message that if he chooses not to reply you wont be contacting him again but if he wants to get in touch in the future he knows where to find you. Balls in his court then.
