Hi all,
One of the reasons I''m divorcing stbx is drinking and behaviour. However, I''ve been very fair with our one daughter''s access. However, just found out complaints about him drunk driving with our child in the car. I am livid - especially as he''s been making my life hell over the impending settlement + making outrageous demands. I now want the SOA changed to 5/2, I know I cd get more.

Hi good times (hugs)

My ex was the same, how old is your child? Tbh mine are teenagers now & just won''t ask x to take them anywhere / don''t like being in the car with him because of this. Usually ring me even on x''s time if they need a lift.

I am glad of this as it is a huge worry.

Canyou speak to x (know I cannot to mine), if not a sols letter or a recorded del letter from you, stating that you expect him to be responsible & not to drink & drive with your child in the car. If no joy with this then yes i would Change the SOA & inform the court as potential ramifications of not doing & protecting your child is unthinkable.

You could use the tack that if you were still together you would also ensure that x didn''t drink & drive, if like me it was always one drive ther & one drive back (the one back always me as I wouldn''t drink!)

Good luck & stay strong JJx
