Sorry, what I meant is in case of a 50/50 holiday contact, how is this normally worded. Does it say that normal contact is suspended on the order. I know someone that has 50/50 of the holidays and she has them for a stretch of three week and so does her partner. So would the order say that normal contact is suspended on holidays?

Well our order says alternate weekends, to include a bank holiday where there is one, and then 50% of school holidays with specific dates to be agreed between the parties. Alternate Xmas is also included.

What my partner and his ex have done is agree three weeks each for the summer, split into 2 x 2 weeks blocks and then a week each but they will always have the alternate weekends added on as well. They also agreed the half terms - they arent splitting them, they will just alternate them as its easier.

There is no mention of ordinary contact being suspended. If this isnt worded in your order then the holiday time is on top of the normal contact.

Hope this helps

Is there a reason that you wouldnt support the NRP having the holiday time? It only works out to 1/3 of the holidays, where half is more the norm, but you seem dissapointed by the response you have recieved on here?

SO what happens when your ex''s normal contact falls in the two week block and on the half terms?

I''ve had things planned as I thought that he''s already had the 30days. I''m in a catch 22 as i dont want to change my plans but at the same time I dont want to end up in court. It was a very messy battle last time! I made my plans based on the 30 day in total.

Him having holiday contact is no problem for me as it gives me a break too. Things are so bad between us that clarity is paramount. This needs to come from the order as it was worse before the order and I need to know that I''m not on the wrong end of the stick before things go from bad to worse. Every other contact has gone fine apart from this one.
