I would perhaps maybe leave it until closer to the date? Its next week isnt it? Ring the court on monday or tuesday and ask them to confirm your hearing. Once they have done this contact your exes solicitor to say you have confirmed with the court that the hearing is going a head on such a date at such a time and you will be in attendance.

With any luck they will have to turn up!!

She will need a very good reason and possibly evidence or she will be shown in a bad light, but ultimately they will adjourn so she can show up as far as i am aware. Stbxh''s first wife tried this tactic, saying she had sprained her foot the week before when we had seen her in a nightclub just a few days before. The judge wasnt impressed with her at all!! Not sure if there would be consequences in your case but for her they moved the hearing to a court closer to her home address when she had asked them not to!
