Some of you will know the history behind my case and just how difficult our child contact issues have been. Today I receive not one but two text messages demanding contact this week on daughters birthday. Ex does not say "Is it possible? Could this be arranged?" Instead he demands a time and a place. The times he has suggested are not possible. Do I return by text stating that contact is as per the current contact order (which is over 5 pages long) It is his weekend and I think that daughter will be more than happy to receive present then. I might add we celebrated her party today since the last week of term is so hectic anyway! Thanks for thoughts

Can you not offer him any time on her birthday?

I am somewhat aware of your situation and know it has been difficult for you but even its a small amount of time on the actual day would be nice for your daughter.

I understand your frustration with the demands too, i''m well used to them from my stbxh and often want to tell him to eff off!! But i know if my daughter goes for a certain period without contact she gets upset and i''ll strive to stop that happening. Its not easy but as long as she is happy, i''m happy! LoL

How about contacting him saying ''We can''t do the times you suggested, but are available at x time for y hours or x time for y hours?'' Then you arent just saying ''no'' as you have offered an alternative.
