My ex was supposed to arrange for holiday contact with me but he hasn''t to date. The holidays start from today and when I took legal advice, I was told that if he has made no confirmed arraangements, then I am free to make my own which I have done. However, noe he is saying that as it is holidays, he will return him on a day suitable to him. I know the obvious suggestion will be going to court but how do I deal with this situation with my plans going to pot and also uncertainty in place. The order requires him to arrange days and times with me first and it is not a 50/50 split. Advice please!!!

Arranging contact means he tells you how it''s going to be? That is not any definition of the word "arranging" that I know of! I would tell him that his suggestion is not suitable for your circumstances and suggest an alternative. Then maybe you can find some compromise that you are both happy with.

Don''t go to court, it''s not worth it.

I would tell him that if he can''t be bothered to arrange a return date that is mutually acceptable, then he won''t be having her at all.

What arrangements are there? Do you have a holiday booked or can you wait until the children are returned? Do you have a Residence Order in your favour?

Tell him that if he does not stick to the arrangement then he won''t be having her next time.
