Taking child on holiday

Hi

I'm looking for some help regarding taking children abroad once divorced. I have parental responsibility for my daughter and there is a contact order in place which says that my ex partner and I will agree shared holiday arrangements.

I wish to take my daughter abroad for June half term however my ex is refusing to allow me to, saying that we should look after our daughter half and half for the week. I have suggested that one of us could do Feb half term the other June but this is still not acceptable. I do not think it's an unreasonable request. Am I right in thinking that as I have parental responsibility and my ex partner does not, I can take my daughter abroad for up to 28 days without their permission?

That is just being pig ignorant of your ex.
Don't know what the 'Laws' are, but surely you have for a week one half term and ex for other is completely reasonable?

So you have a Child Arrangments Order stating you are the resident parent ?

If yes you will see at the bottom - you can take the child out of the country for upto 28 days without permission from the other parent.
