I'm a member of wikivorce from early days in 2008 and after my divorce my eldest is now 18 and just left
after A levels.
My ex was the Parent With Care for him,and he is going to continue to live with her for the foreseeable future.
Can anyone tell me when that
responsibility officially ends?
I assume Aug 31st when, according to the Gov.UK site, the child benefit ends.
Parent with care isn't a legal status, it's just a term used by old parenting forums that was derived from the Child Support Act and where the term \"PWC\" was coined although the actual wording in the act is person with care. It's not usually used on Wikivorce these days.
It would help if you could explain why you're asking. Is it in relation to CM?
Nice to hear from you again!
Yes for CM but also in my case it means Parent With CONTROL so I will finally feel back on a completely equal footing with her, and can pass that onto my boys.
