I divorced my husband early last year after he went for my 26 year old son with a knife.
He was arrested and given a resraining order for 2 years to avoid contact with myseelf and my son.
My husband was not my sons father but we do have a 6 year old girl together who lives with me.
Earlier this year my ex-husband applied to the court for access to our daughter.
This was refused and my ex-husband is only allowed indirect contact with her such as monthly letters and cards.
My ex-husband has not seen his daughter for the last 19 months.
My ex-husband currently pays child maintenance for our daughter.
Does my ex-husband have any parental responsibility?

Welcome to Wikivorce.

I would have thought that your ex still has PR for your daughter - courts very rarely remove PR from a father (I can only think of 5 cases in the last 10 years or so where this has happened).

There may be provision in your order to allow you to make the important decisions regarding your daughter (is selecting a school , major medical decisions) without first seeking your ex's consent.
