My immediate thought is that, if the house(s) are in danger of re-possession, that would call for prompt action on your part.

Your first step, I think, would be to take some form of legal action to establish your entitlement to a share of the rental income.

If you succeed in this it could be possible for you to get an order, they used to call it a garnishee order but I don't know whether that is what it is called now. Essentially it's an order whereby the tenants have to pay you the rent until not him, until the debt is satisfied.

Your immediate task is to avoid re-oossession,which benefits nobody.
