Just found out husband has been cheating. His response on being caught out is that he will sign everything over to me and the children. That’s all he keeps saying.
I have been a stay at home mum for roughly 10 years and then for the last 5 years have had a part time job (only 5hours a week).
I know I don’t have the capacity to take on the mortgage. His solution is to sign it all over to me and promises to pay enough of his wages into our joint account on a monthly basis.
We’ve been married 17years, 3 kids (15,13 and 8). What’s his deal with his request? A few months ago i couldn’t have dreamt I’d be separated so am dumbfounded at the mo as to what to do first but for the security and sanity of my children I need to do it right.
Any information would be great. I will be seeking legal advice but am sure there will be people out there who could send me a few snippets of advice.

He is obviously feeling guilty, so has SAID he will give you everything.
Don’t believe this!
His new woman will soon work out that giving everything to you and paying regularly to keep you going will deprive them.
You need it sorting out officially with a Consent Order.

Thanks for your response. Never heard of a consent order but have just quick looked it up. Sounds like a good idea to protect me and the kids. I have him coming for a chat to discuss and sort a few things out later so will tell him about it.
Thank you for your help.
