Had a phone call from my solicitor about an hour ago. Contact should have begun at 6.00 pm.
My ex has sent an email to my solicitor which says that my son showed signs of possible abuse under my care. She is therefore suspending contact. She says she has an appointment with Social Services on Monday and will take advice from them.
Anyone have any experience dealing with social services and what I might expect?
SS are duty-bound to investigate any allegations that they receive.
I''m afraid my own experiences of SS involvement is very limited (also about false allegations), so I can''t be of much help, but did want to send you a virtual hug (if that isn''t too "fluffy) and say that I hope things get resolved very soon for you.
Funnily enough, my barrister at the last hearing was saying how now all the allegations are out of the way we can move on to the final hearing. She said ''she''s pretty much run out of things to throw at you.''
I replied ''I''ve not had any allegations of child abuse yet, I expect they''ll come in time''
What a surprise!
Thanks guys, it''s extremely frustrating because I have to wait until office hours tomorrow to phone social services to find out what''s been alleged. The ex''s email just said abuse, with no indication what she might have made up.
