me again, me ex refuses to sign an application form so that I can apply for a passport for our son.
At present he has no contact apart from Skype (court ordered - he''s under investigation for child sexual exploitation and child abuse).
Our son does not want to see him, meet him, etc (that''s another story).
Would it be acceptable for me to send the passport form to his solicitor to ask him to sign it? He threatened me two years ago that if we had a holiday he would have me arrested for kidnapping. He has since refused to sign a form. He even took our older son''s passport and our son had to apply for an emergency one and the reason was his father "hadn''t had a holiday, so why should you".
We are already going through court regarding contact for our youngest.
I know I can swear an affidavit to say that my son is with me 100% of the time but with the court hearings pending I didn''t want to over step the mark, if you know what I mean?
I just applied for a new passport for my son and left his fathers details out - I think there was a space where I could put additional information and I stated that we were now separated - didn''t have a problem getting a new passport.
I was thinking of getting my children Irish passports but then read that both parties with PR must sign the application. I didn''t read any further but can you get the court to agree in his place?
I''m now applying for UK passports instead but I am having to submit my sole residence court order with it. I understand with that I can take the children away for 28 days without his consent as the resident parent.
