What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi Everyone,
My x has submitted his financial statement and for 12 months it reads as a massive shopping bill. How can anyone spend as much as £200 plus in one week in supermarkets.

Has anyone any ideas as to how i can ask him to explain this with out sounding daft!!!
Thanks for reading this.

Is this what it says on his bank statements? If it is, and he is only feeding himself, then I would be interested to know whether he is a drinker ...
Of course it could be that he is dining on caviar nightly ....or perhaps feeding more than just himself??

And the converse of that is my ex was trying to convince the court her outgoings on living expenses were £5 per week.(£260 per YEAR).
Obviously matching her claimed 16 hours per week part time work and ignoring all her cash in hand work.
And the court actually belived somebody could live on 71p per day.

Hi Thanks for your reply. he didn''t use to drink much when he was with me. He is living with another woman but that is far too much food shopping for two people one month adds up to £600 plus!!!
