Out of the blue was created by Happylife80
I recently attended court (FA) and my soon to be ex expressed and presented me with (out of the blue) a recently handwritten letter from a family member stating that if our marriage did not work out and we went onto sell our family home that we were to return the monies that they had gifted to us for a deposit?
This is something that I have never heard about before and it is just another way to slow the process down if you ask me.
Our home is now going to be sold as I no longer want to financially be connected with him (a clean break will be the best for all).
My question is how can he prove this with a hand written letter that he never discussed with me in our whole 14 years together? What do you think a Judge will think about this?

Thank you for any responses in advance

Judge will probably roll their eyes and think \"Crikey not that 'it was a loan which must be repaid' one again\" then tell your ex that they're really not interested and it makes no difference.

Once they're in private they'll probably laugh their heads off that people come out with this every week.
