my husband has abandoned us (two thildren and me) abouta year ago. he filed for divorce on ground of my behaviour. i do not have money for a lawyer and tried to do everything on my own. have filled in D10 and said in that that i was going to oppose the divorce (he really left because of an affair and i feel it would not be fair not to mention that). i then did not know that i would have to prepare the answer. he has now obtained D84 and has the right to divorce me. do i have a chance to be heard this late in the day?
thank you
heike

Hallo Heike

I think most people would advise you not to contest the divorce. Arguing over whose fault it is that your marriage has broken down is a waste of time, effort and money. You need to concentrate your efforts on sorting out a decent financial settlement and childcare arrangements.
