I have been married for 7 years, lived with my wife in a rented property for 4 years, since we have been separated 3 years. One year after separation i bought a property (with no contribution from her),we have no children together. In the event of a divorce, has she a legal claim to a part of my property as a part of her divorce settlement? Many thanks in advance.

Claims remain live potentially forever, would a claim result in a payout is a whole other matter, right now you are still married so all assets can be included.

The only safe way to protect your income and assets is to divorce and have a Clean Break Consent Order.

If not as Mike says you live with the sword of Damocles over your head.
