What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

:woohoo:FInally after him stalling, 3 applications for direction of trial and balliff service, I got the letter this morning. Date is set for 16th June with him having to pay costs hahaha

I am so happy, he has been so nasty, that I cant feel anything but relief. He phoned me last night screaming at me and that was before he got the letter, and wont see kids today or next week and still has paid no money. Told our 9y old son that I am dead and hes going to get me

My sol is doing finance forms now so I am hoping that she can sort that out.

I know he can contest it, so if he does, what would happen. Or is it a case of he can arrive at the courts and say his peace. Wont believe this nightmare is over until I get the absolute.
