What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Fraud: Our Final Hearing was cancelled and the next hearing was changed to a maintenance hearing (Thurs past). This is because XH is under a criminal investigation which may affect his employment.

Legals only found out 5pm day before this hearing that XH bought a property taking on a high mortgage and mortgage insurance. BTW Judge did nothing about this !!

Legally how can he buy a property, high mortgage knowing he is under investigation,(surely mortgage company should know about) but yet cannot proceed with the final hearing??? PS he also postponed his police interview, which was to take place before hearing

Court Order I also got Stbxs discovery, the day after this hearing, therefore I had not time to raise any issues. He has still has not answered questions nor provided documents as per previous Court Order, and new questions need to be asked, in meantime he has cleared out savings and bought this luxury apartment.

I need to get this missing informaton asap so What is next step after a Court Order is ignored?

Help please. Im being shafted left right and centre.

Thanks

Red wine

It''s hard but just let things take their course. No one can second guess what will happen, just prepare yourself as best as possible ready for the FH. I have been in the place you are now and been astounded by my exs actions, you need to believe justice will be done (and hopefully it will) stick to facts and don''t give up.
