What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

The Consent Order was made nearly 5 years ago,

Ex failed to pay spousal and child maintenance in Oct 2013 and February 2014.

He promised to pay the arrears in May and did not and now refuses to pay any it from his August bonus.

I tried to enforce it on a D151 form but this was returned as it seems the process change in April this year. The form was returned but no information was given on how I might enforce it. V helpful!

I hope someone can give me some advice on how I go about this.

My ex will be going into bankruptcy in the next 2 months and I would like the arrears to be taken into consideration by the official receiver when this happens as I believe there will be enough money to pay it then.

Thank you for your help.

I believe you need form d11 to enforce court order. You can download or ask court to send one in post.
