What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi,

I''ve got an order from the previous adjourned "final" hearing that states that their side can get some accountancy work completed to backup their case.

This was meant to of been "lodged and served" a few weeks ago. Does this mean that it was meant to have been sent to me so as I can read it before the hearing ?

If they missed this deadline can I apply to have this evidence disregarded when I''m back in court ?

Thanks,

Naz.

I think the first think to do is call the Court and find out whether the additional disclosure has been received.
