What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi hopefully a quick one
His solicitor is asking about sums of money very small in value
£5 payment to a shop
£13 child benefit payment when my son was born
£236 to a holiday company for a holiday deposit?

£400 my mum transferred into my account when her card stopped working (she''s from another country)

It''s seems redicokous providing evidence when I have no sums in or out over £500

One has asked for a payment from jan 2013 ???
They didn''t get that document from me and as it''s over a year do I have to answer ?
Can I question how the obtained a statement from 2 years ago?

You should clarify where they have got YOUR statement from if you haven''t given it to them voluntarily.

Secondly, you don''t have to respond to any questions if you choose not to unless ordered to do so by a Judge. I can tell you in my case, the judge was not bothered about any transactions under £500.

Hope this helps.

I''m weary about not answering questions as we have had our first appointment and both questionnaires and answers have to be in before FDR
I''m just worried a judge will be ticked off if I didn''t answer them?
Also asking about a tax credit payment for £800
Yes it''s a large sum but if they paid attention to my bank statements you can clearly see I received not one penny between November to January from tax credits clearly it was a back payment of entitlement.
Can an just offer a simple explanation and nothing more?

Why not just answer the questions as best you can? You have answered most of them in your post. Providing the answers will just show you have nothing to hide and how ridiculous the questions are.

Did you leave a bank statement lying around the FMH?
