What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi guys

Not sure if it works like this, if so does anyone know the approximate cost of a solicitor compiling a court bundle if I am the LiP.

Cheers

It depends how many pages there are. Expect a charge of £0.25 + VAT per page.

If a trial bundle is 300 pages (a widely adopted maximum number) this would cost £90. It is a small price to pay for a bundle which is identical to those held by the other parties.

Although if you mean "what would the cost be of engaging a solicitor to compile a bundle for me" it would be a lot more than this - the cost Charles quotes is if the other side is represented by solicitors, they are on the hook for producing the bundle and you are simply asking them to provide you with a copy.
