What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I am trying to write a letter regarding my Consent Order not being approved by the judge and him telling my barrister to go away and advise me correctly.
Is there a correct term for this i.e
bad advise by barrister
incorrect advise by barrister
misrepresentation by barrister
barrister not taking account my best interests.
I do not know which description would be most suitable or if there is a legal term for it.

Who are you writing to and why?

Why was the order rejected by the judge?

CAB (district judge ) are referring my case to Pro Bono.
I am trying to fill the application form in using the correct terms.
It was rejected by the judge ss he felt it was unfair to me.
