What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

the financials were agreed at court, including the sale of the house.
the house has been on the market for some months now.
speaking to the estate agent, they are being prevented in making viewing by the ex who lives there. this is resulting in no forward movement in the sale, result of which i continue to rent. i pay the mortgage as she immediately defaulted affecting my credit rating fouling up a mortgage application
can i move this along by asking the court for directions?
what is the cost of directions?

The answer is, very probably, yes, you can, especially if the order contains a provision that either party can apply to the Court on any matters concerning the implementation or interpretation of the agreement.

But as to costs, I have been out of practice for many years and I
am unable to help you on this.
