What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

My lawyer finally got the legal aid funding for my ordinary divorce in Scotland. My ex2b is also in Scotland and has mental health troubles. The funding was granted 01/08/2017.
The mental health troubles will not affect her from making her own decisions. That is what an assessment will find, provided she doesn't lie to get back at me.
There are no assets and no dependants whatsoever.
Additionally, she has made it very clear that she also wants the divorce but she just couldn't be bothered to go to a solicitor.
What is the smallest amount of time I can be expected to wait for this hell to be over? What will be happening at the moment behind the scenes? What will be my next contact from the solicitor?
