What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi,
So I went to court this morning for the 3rd occation with my ex to get my child arrangement order defined due to ex being obstructive over nearly aspect of it.

Before we go into court room ex's solicitor comes to me to inform me that they have applied for an Occupation order with a non-molestation order attached to it!

My application has been adjourned due to Cafcass not having ex's Police check and her solicitor has asked for a District Judge to sit on both Occupation order and my child application at the same time.

We both still live in the same house after being seperated for nearly 2 1/2 years. Not married. She has one child and we have a 4 year old boy between us.

What I can't understand is that there has been no domestic abuse and a Cafcass report from last year when I took her back to court to enforce the order and one from only a few weeks ago clearly states her saying no domestic abuse!

Apparently her solictor said that even though my application has been adjourned to middle of April I will be expecting the Occupation/non-mol court hearing in the next 7 to 10 days!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated x
