What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hello,

My son's father has a prohibited steps order on me and it states i can see my son with out supervison but his father is not letting me see my son alone.

Our son is two and for the last two weeks i have been seeing him every couple of days for a few hours. court hearing isnt till september. today broke my heart he wanted to come home with me and cried his eyes out. this is breaking me. before i recieved the prohibited steps order i put in a c100 form and i have been told by the courts not to put an additional form in.

My side of my family are missing our son too, they didnt see us for 3 months due to covid and shielding. My ex partner lives with his mum and sibilings so our son gets to see his fathers family every day. my poor little lad is missing me and my family. can i do anything to speed this up. i feel this is so detrimental to our son. our son is usually with me 5 nights a week.

back story ive recently lost a pregnancy with a new partner and i had a bit of a break down but i am ok mentally now, my ex partner is trying to use that against me and also saying im a drug addict, alcoholic and that i am going to abduct our son. all lies.. he made the same allegations back at court in 2018.

Please can any one give me some good advice? Awaiting a call from cafcass hoping they can speed it all up.

Thank you AJ
