What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hello!

I see lots of people on here asking how long Bury st Edmunds are taking to look at Consent Orders. However none of the posts on here seem to have the date when they were asked, so I’m still in the dark! As of today October 13th 2020, does anyone know how long Clean Break consent orders are taking at bury? or have any experience of a clean break order going through bury st Edmunds?
What’s the direct number to bury to phone them about it? I have googled it, but can only find the generic divorce number.
Thank you all

We have been informed recently that anyone submitting a CO to court should be prepared for a delay of up to 20 weeks for processing. Anything quicker than that should be seen as a bonus!!
