What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hello, I had my FDR in early Novemeber 2020. I have been calling the Court since December 2020 to see when I'll get the dates for my Final hearing and they just keep telling me there is a backlog and my case is waiting to be listed for the Final hearing. It is 3 months now I'm waiting to be listed since my FDR. I have been told even post COVID, this is not normal to wait such a long time to just be listed for the Final hearing.
Could anyone please tell me what has been your experiance regarding listing for court hearings post COVID and on average how long you had to wait for your hearings, and what sort of gap have you had beween FDR and the Final hearing.
