What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hello everyone,
I'm in a bit of a stressful situation and any advice would be appreciated as I'm not sure which I should be going...
I won't bore anyone with all the details (yet) but the gist of the matter is this.
I applied for divorce last July after I found out my wife was being unfaithful. We'd been married 10 years, 3 kids ages 10, 8 and 5.
We were still living in the same house but my wife left with the kids one day to stay at her parents and I was served an NMO and occupational order. I moved out and have been renting a room since but I can't have my kids to stay overnight as I have no where for them to stay. I see them a couple days a week though.

Now we have to agree financial and child arrangements. I would like 3 nights a week the kids stay with me so would I need to get a Consent Order first stipulating that before trying to come to a financial settlement? I fear to sorting out finances first it will appear that the children live with her 100% of the time and I will have no standing at all it determining financial need. This will then inhibit my chances of obtaining a suitable property in order to care for my children?
It's so stressful and I really don't know what to do. I just want a fair future sharing the upbringing of the kids as I know that's what they want and what's best for them.
Any help appreciated.
