What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

So my husband and I went to court as I applied for a non mom, I did not get the order but and
there was an undertaking, that he was not permitted in our home or road until July time yet, he was in the house next door the other week with his car parked opposite our house. He is also supposed to be removing his name from all utility bills and asked to cooperate by the court but instead he asked me to pay him a lump monthly sum in order for him to continue to pay all the utility bill Still and not remove his name as he said for ease. I declined and asked him to remove his name and when he did not still I just took out my own utility bills. I told the court about these breaking of undertakings, they have basically said they have just filed this, not done anything about it so what is the point of an undertaking to the court when it is not enforceable and he can go against what was, agreed.
