What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi, I have a final hearing coming up and an additional fdr beforehand due to issues by the other party.

I have had to self represent since the last hearing so trying my best to get through the process and have a couple of questions.

Am I able to submit a new form E? Firstly my financials have altered a bit and secondly having gone through everything the solicitor submitted on the first form e I can see now it doesn't read well and there are factual mistakes in some areas. I think I was so bamboozled back then i took it that the solicitor double checked everything before submitting.
Lastly, if i can submit a new form, do i send in new payslips, bank statements etc aswell?
Thanks so much for any help you can give me.

You should be updating your disclosure by providing updated documents - bank statements etc. The updated information will be put into the ES2 which sets out both parties' assets and liabilities.

If you have another FDR then hopefully you will settle without the need for a Final Hearing.

If you don't settle, directions will be given for Final Hearing. This will include a s25 statement that sets out your needs and gives some background to the situation.
If appropriate you can provide a position statement for the FDR to support your proposal.
