320k was assets he received i.e MH, equity in property he lives , a flat my dauggter and I were beneficiaries and his savings minus my 35k plus as I was credited 8k I had gifted to my son so he had to be credited. Taken as 30k but was far in excess of this.

Jane, the flat was the ring-fenced inheritance. Sorry to say, but it''s not part of the marital pot.

Using your figures from a previous thread about the consent order you signed, you got £160k, which is 45% of the available marital pot, plus the £40k pension offset. Given that you had a relatively short marriage, it does sound reasonable.

My daughter and I owned the flat it was in my daughters name. It was a Trust. The inheritance was not ring fenced as he owed me 50 k as I paid off his mort. There is a lot of info regarding ring fencing on the internet and how inheritance has been used etc

I understand what you''re saying, but didn''t the judge direct that it was ringfenced? And that was the basis for the consent order being what it was?

Goodness no. Judge wozld not approve consent order . He told my Barrister to instruct me correctly. 3rd part transfers are not legal in divorce finsncial proceedings.
