Just wondering if there is anyone has any good advice. Going through rough divorce. Approaching final hearing and ex is a wealthy director of company. He has been trying to reduce his income and it was clear turnover has reduced. It will be classed as an income stream. Found out that the girlfriend (who he has denied living with for the past year) has set up company in her name but obvious it is really him and building up income in company. (No accounts yet) I believe he has been working through this company for the last year, while keeping the old company running. How can I prove this and will it even make any difference. He is trying to pay minimum child maintenance and getting away with it as he is a company director). This will also show less earnings in regard to spousal maintenance.
There have been numerous lies since the beginning and I am exhausted by having to do detective work on all this.
Worried about final hearing, costs, etc...

I had this chat with my solicitor about my company. Turnover has dropped 50% since this all began and I have no incentive to build it back up and pay 75% tax (50% personal, then 50% of this to her)As you can tell its been quite a nasty split !

My solicitor says she would need to get a forensic accountant if she thinks there is foul play. Cost about £10k

Time is critical with the "income shifting" you believe is happening. Its going to be a tough one to get a judge to hand over the new company bank accounts if he has nothing officially to do with it.
