What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Was into divorce proceedings through Decree Nisi - then reconciled {mistake}, now ready 2+ years later to begin divorce again. Is the decree nisi still in effect or revivable? Hoping to save time, emotions and thousands of £'s it cost me. Or do I start from scratch and have to repeat everything?

If Nisi awarded then you can still apply for abs...

You have to give good reason and sign afidavit stating that you have not lived together for a period or periods totalling six months since the date of the Nisi

I suspect that is not the case, if I am right speak to a sol...urgently
