What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help going to court over a Financial Settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support for people who are going to court over a fair financial settlement, for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

I am. Paternity test came back 99.9999% confidence of paternity.

Now that my ex has wasted the better part of £1000, proving that, any likelihood we can get back to the actual issues at heart?

Hey U6,

Editing now as humour is obviously dimly viewed on the forum!

Congratulations for proving what you already knew!

As for getting back to the heart of the issue.... probably not! I''m sure there is more she can throw at you but you will continue to fight with the dignity you have shown when faced with the ridiculous allegations thrown at you. All you can do is carry on as you are, knowing you''re the one with the upper hand.

Fingers crossed her motives are quickly unearthed and yo can get back to the heart of the matter!

Hi Uc

These things are very personal and I know that I for one have posted replies to yours.

Difficulty is as mentioned before it is hard for people to get a thread when random suggestions are put up.

I personally am struggling to get to grips with what is going on in your divorce. Maybe now is the time for YOU to put together a new thread incorporating all your ideas and all the responses you have had in order that you can maybe get some sensible responses as a result.

Conclusion always do not let the clouds of doubt get in your way (sort of confucious - er spelling!:P)

She made you take a paternity test? For how many children? So, she just made herself look like a slapped who didn''t know who the children''s father was?
