What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

OMG!

Just an update.
Court has rang, Judge wants me at a hearing 12pm Monday to look at my application to be an Intervenor! Whatever the outcome from that, it may be that the FH (listed for 2pm) between my husband and his ex wife may have to be adjourned. (AGAIN!!)
Whilst I dont care as it means his ex will have to travel yet again, probably her 15th time, 150miles to the Court.
I want an end to all this! Where or what the hell do I do?
Her solicitors have just rang, she will not accept any offer we make????? No counter offer or anything and she will see us in court Tuesday 10am! (baring in mind the hearing is 2pm MONDAY??????? We shall have to wait and see!
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I could scream!

Kind ones,
One frustrated nearly loopy lou!

Assuming though, that the 2pm COULD still go ahead!?

Commiserations Louise, it seems I'm in the the long-haul also. My divorce will probably take three times longer than the actual time of marriage.

Feel for you louise my X wanted to bring case forward or put back was told no. I know the reason :-)she gets her money that day and will want to visit the place of golden amber enjoyment.

So today X may of manged to put herself out of it all together now :-)

Was at hospital today and on return was confronted with the police in my house, every single window in the front of the house smashed, the police had in there cells the two culprits who broke them, drugged up vandals I assumed but no as next door was so excited she jumped in, "it your X she and her man broke them, woman was escorted away. God.

So police explain that both parties were feeling under the weather ( issed)and when asked what they were doing tried to say that they had lost the keys and were trying to get in, the police were informed by next door on the phone that X was no longer living here. So was asked if I wanted to press charges "your !"£$%^& right I do, so they are in the nick for the night. ma I concerned Mmmm excuse me while I pick myself up LOL.

but the day afternoon wore on and things were getting to me as the night set in looking at boarded up windows my heart dropped and dropped. now IM tired and need sllep but my head keeps me awake.
