What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Have you tried just ignoring the texts and emails? It might slow her down if she''s not getting a reaction.

Actually Action,
It''s funny you should say that ... I have totally ignored all of her texts over this weekend pertaining to the kids holiday that we''re meant to be going on on Thursday.
She is demanding that after a drive across France, a ferry crossing arriving at 10:30pm that we drive over 80 miles to drop the kids off at her fathers house cos she doesn''t get back from her adults only holiday until 2 days later! (she knew my holiday dates, but still went ahead & booked her holiday)
We''ve given her 4 possible options, none of which cause her to go out of her way, but to maintain her control over me none of those are suitable! It looks like the poor kids will not be coming with us, but this time I will not give in to her whims & demands :(
She is getting more & more abusive, with more & more deadlines & threats in her texts as I''m not replying! It''s almost laughable if if wasn''t about such a serious matter!

Don''t reply to each text with a compromise, do what my partner does just keeps sending the same reply stating what he intents to do and don''t join in the negotiations.

Definitely dont get into well as you wont agree the children wont be joining us discussion. She will tell the children its your fault and it will distress the children.

I would definitely get another phone just for her or download the app that flashes different colours for each caller so you can see its her and ignore it!!

There is no more room for compromise Mathisfun ... I do not intend to say anything about the children won''t be joinging us as she''s already said that I one of her numerous texts!
Unless I agree to her demand she won''t ''release'' the children to me on the collection day!
Not sure how that''s going to turn out as I certainly don''t want to go to pick them up & her to stop them from coming out the house, tears, upset etc. ... So I guess I just won''t be going to collect them in the first place?? But then that makes me look like the baddy for not turning up ... Any ideas??
Stuck between a rock & hard place really :(
