What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Thank you both, its about child contact. I have always wanted my boys to have contact with there dad,i worked around his work so this could happen.
He then broke started messing the boys around, standing them up for his new wmen and her kids,so i took him to court so it was in writing.
It didnt help he still continued to mess them about and allowed his new gf and 1 of her kids to bully my boys.
I stopped contact at my boys request as they were fed up being bullied physically and mentally by his gf and kid.
It went back to court, yet again i didnt stop contact, but did ask for it to be one to one with there farther,i got that, but he kept swapping days, turning up late extra.
My plan was to encourage the children to see there dad and new family after school for tea one night and have time on the Saturday with just there dad.
I should point out at this point that my oldest son wants nothing to do with his dad after he saw him to threaten me with a hammer.
My ex then informed me that because CSA were taking £5 a week from his benefits, he couldn''t pick them up in a car or feed them in any way,i don''t have to tell you how far a fiver goes with 2 kids.
So my point today was, although i am not apposed to contact to being increased my son still wants one to one time with his dad.
The court awarded him no extra time, but said he could take my son to his new family home where he gets bullied!!! I dont get it!!!
I lost the plot in the end as his sol a bigger ***** as he is and provided evidence that i have offered contact.
They ignored all my concerns and now i need to explain this to my son, feel like i have let him down.
Sorry,rant over.xx
