I filed for divorce back in February. Completed the D8, respondent didn't contest this and signed a acknowledgement of service.
I completed the D84 and D80.
All seemed fine but court clerk has turned down my application because:
1) place of marriage does not exactly match certificate.
2) box in section 9a on D8 not ticked.
The court sent me a new D80 and D84 and a copy of the respondents acknowledgement of service.
I was asked to put my amendments on section 2 of the D80.
I filled out both forms and sent them back along with the copy of the respondents acknowledgement of service.
My question is, since I have now made amendments will a new acknowledgement of service have to be filled out by the respondent.
To make things worse the court can't find my fresh D80 and D84. They're trying to locate them now.
I really wish I'd not tried to save myself some money by doing this DIY. Totally not worth the stress and probably would be done and dusted by now!
Since the court had lost my D80 and D84 I printed new ones off, filled them out, scanned and emailed them to the court. I have received confirmation that they have been taken directly to the clerk. Effectively jumping the queue since they lost my documents.
Still wondering if anyone knows whether my wife will receive a new acknowledgement of service???
